O.O.W's WRESTLEMANIA 30 PREDICTION BLOG
I intially was very disappointed that CM Punk walked out of the company. It made me lose interest in the whole event. I'm 26 and i grew up liking The Rock, Stone Cold, HBK, The Hardys, Bret Hart, HHH, and The Undertaker. I got older and i grew to like The Evolution that was Randy Orton & Batista. CM punk came in and I enjoyed him when he first had his run with the World Heavyweight Title. I am a wrestling fan period. Macho Man was before my time but I liked him as well.
Now in todays world of wrestling and there being no CM Punk I can't really say who i stand behind. I loved The Rock being there the past 3 manias. I marked out each time he showed up. I am a Daniel Bryan fan, not a crazed smark fan or a YES movement fan but I like Bryan Danielson and his in ring skills. I always liked Batista and I'm glad to see him back in the ring and I always like Randy. I might be the only person who was content with that match happening although I found it to be a underwhelming main event. I respect John Cena and I love Bray Wyatt and his whole character. The Undertaker is the God of Wrestlemania and Brock Lesnar is a favorite of mine. The build up to this years wrestlemania is satisfying and I give a majority of the credit to HHH. He has put the interest in WM30 with his heel tactics. I for one would enjoy watching him march into the main event and take the titles from Randy Orton. It doesn't make sense but its almost predictable where they are going with the whole show. I am disappointed with the usuage of The Shield in this years WM, I think they should of been doing something way bigger. But lets get into the predictions.
The Shield vs. Kane & New Age Outlaws
Why they booked The Shield like this is beyond me. Initially the talks where to have The Shield break up and have them fight each other. Maybe break Roman Reigns off and have him be a face going against a heel Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. Now there going to face Kane and the New Age Outlaws. I see no absoulte reason as to why The Shield would lose this match. Kane has been playing a character I enjoy to watch as well so maybe this also gives Kane a higher profile match than the Battle Royal but still it is a odd match.
WINNERS: The Shield
Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
(Four Superstar Additions Remain)
- Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston, Cody Rhodes, Sheamus, Christian, Fandango, Jinder Mahal, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Damien Sandow, Heath Slater, The Miz, Goldust, Big E, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, Titus O’Neil, Brodus Clay, Darren Young, Justin Gabriel, R-Truth, Rey Mysterio, The Great Khali, Santino Marella, Zack Ryder, Sin Cara
Other than milking the legend of Andre The Giant on the 30th anniversary of WrestleMania, as well as providing an opportunity to get as many Superstars on the biggest show of the year for the big pay off, I'm not exactly sure why someone should care about this match. To me, it seems like a regular battle royal. You can give it whatever fancy name you want, but at the end of the day, it's a bunch of bodies in the ring at the same time, and people flying over the top rope every minute or so.
When you really sit back and look at some of the talent involved in this one, much like I mentioned with The Shield above, it's kind of a shame that at a show as big and as important as WrestleMania, this is the best WWE could come up with for some of these guys. At the same time, considering the level of some of the talent involved in this one, maybe they'll come up with some cool spots and the match will turn out to exceed expectations.
I won't spend much time going any further into this match. I would want nothing more than to watch Dolph Ziggler win but it also seems rather clear as to who will eventually take home the prize of being a winner.
WINNER: The Big Show
UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO TIME RESTRAINTS I WILL HAVE TO COMPLETE THIS BLOG TOMORROW. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT DONE BUT NEVER THE LESS I WANT TO POST WHAT I ALREADY HAVE ON HERE NOW! PLEASE ENJOY THE READ
